Could just $10/$2.99 save your life?

Yes! but only if you read it and apply it.

When I set out to write the book you see to your right. It was to honor my own loss of my son Merlyn in 2003. Jump forward with me to 2013 and having been a driving instructor since 2006. I soon realized that drivers for the most part “know” how drive but far too many don’t know how to actively engage themselves when driving in the “how” of managing the risk that’s inherent with driving around each other. 7 years later Are We There Yet? was published on Amazon in 2020. Now, since the covid-19 pandemic, I didn’t realize at the time I published how drivers would move to greater levels of almost willful ignorance towards the risk they were creating for each other. My research for the book soon revealed, from many sources, that a global epidemic of death from roadway use had been raging in the world and United States since 2011. When cell phones came into much more common use was a big factor in perpetuating this epidemic.

Even though statistically we have up and downs in this epidemic, it still remains at a constant of 1.9 million lives every year since 2011. Deaths that could have easily been prevented through greater awareness of our actions as drivers. The reasons for this are far too many to cover here. At the core of it is just a simple lack of knowledge about the impact of the physics of driving, which becomes risk taken, has on all of us. Many drivers consciously and unconsciously make the choice to ignore the risk they create and it’s impact on the other drivers around. We have lost the ability to share the road with other and replaced it with a level a selfish behavior that is literally murdering millions of people. Both drivers and pedestrians.

Are We There Yet? seeks to bridge the gap between knowing how to drive and how to effectively mange the risk we all create at any given moment in time. Based on the habits of say not stopping fully for a stop sign or doing a right on red without fully checking for traffic first just to name a few.

I have sought with this book to establish a new standard in what’s basically needed by all drivers to actualize “safe” driving in how they drive.

I wrote this book for two very achievable goals:

  1. End the epidemic of death on our nations and worlds roadways.

  2. To save lives and prevent the phone call that destroys families and lives.
